1. Create a new Cart Rule from Marketing > Promotions > Cart Price Rules
2. Make sure it has no coupon code
3. Set the conditions to be a Sku is conditions. ***This will be the `Buy 1...` part of the `Buy 1 get this free`***
4. Set the action to be Auto Add Free Product
5. Set the condition on the action to be a Sku is condition. ***This will be the `...get this free` part of the `Buy 1 get this free`***

When adding the product described by part 3 to the cart, you will get the product described by part 5 automatically added to the cart as a 0-cost item.
