What is MetaSyntactical/Io?

MetaSyntactical/Io is part of the MetaSyntactical PHP 5.3+ components library and allows to read primitive types from streams and files.

MetaSyntactical/Io is based on the [Zend Framework proposal](http://framework.zend.com/wiki/x/9lI) for Zend\_Mime\_Magic of Matthew Ratzloff and the derived implementation as [Google Code project](http://code.google.com/p/php-reader/)of Sven Vollbehr. I have transformed the code to use namespaces, better exception handling and added a lot of unit tests.
