Hello, Developer for Magento 2
==============================

[](#hello-developer-for-magento-2)

A \[very\] opinionated guide for everything right and wrong with Magento 2.

Rationale
---------

[](#rationale)

> Consistency through standards, harmony through self-actualization.

Understanding and implementing a development methodology across a project in software is two-fold as a lead. You have workflows and standards specific to a codebase and then those to a project. Although their dependencies on one another are mutually exclusive, their patterns couldn't be more different.

After accepting it and stopping fighting it, I chose to move my energy here.

Enjoy.

Top contributor holds 87.5% of commits — single point of failure

How is this calculated?**Maintenance (25%)** — Last commit recency, latest release date, and issue-to-star ratio. Uses a 2-year decay window.

**Popularity (30%)** — Total and monthly downloads, GitHub stars, and forks. Logarithmic scaling prevents top-heavy scores.

**Community (15%)** — Contributors, dependents, forks, watchers, and maintainers. Measures real ecosystem engagement.

**Maturity (30%)** — Project age, version count, PHP version support, and release stability.
