Models and entities
===================

[](#models-and-entities)

An *endpoint* is a compounding of a *dns* and a *path*.

We have the `Dns` and `Path` model to represent each one of those types. And have `DnsPath` model with represents the compound of both.

A *platform model* means an application. Those may exists in different environments: local development, testing, homologation and production, just for example. So several dns can belongs to a same platform. This means, if you assign a path to a dns, probably, or depending on the level of your software park development, all the others dns, belongs to the same platform, may have this same path as well.

Testing
=======

[](#testing)

For repository tests, which requires a real database connection, use this variables:

- DB\_ENDPOINTSCATALOG\_HOST\_TEST
- DB\_ENDPOINTSCATALOG\_NAME\_TEST
- DB\_ENDPOINTSCATALOG\_USER\_TEST
- DB\_ENDPOINTSCATALOG\_PASSWORD\_TEST

Patterns
--------

[](#patterns)

A simple and efective Model > Migration patterns. Look to the MigrationManager, which is required in case of having differents database versions schema. If the project can existis with just one migration version, no MigrationManager is required.

Also there have a nice database manipulations to manage data for testing the repositories, without using repositories itself.
